Riveredge Marina | Webcam Time-Lapse

Written on April 13, 2012 at 2:46 pm, by sam

We put together a time lapse-video with a year’s worth of photos from our webcam.  Our webcam overlooks Little Squam Lake from the clubhouse at Riveredge Marina.  The clubhouse at Riveredge Marina is the only clubhouse with a clear view of the lake and a outside deck that shares the same view.  The clubhouse room and the deck each have a 40 person capacity so give us a call at 603-968-4411 to reserve the clubhouse for your next function or party!

Squam Lake | Sunset Time Lapse

Written on March 19, 2012 at 10:06 am, by sam

It was an uncharacteristic winter season for the Lakes Region of New Hampshire with the lack of snow and mild temperatures. The long winter is now coming to a close as we at the marina change gears and prepare for another spring and summer on the Squam Lakes. To get you excited about summer we figured we would show you a video of a Squam Lake sunset!

Squam's Covered Bridge: Locally Funded, Sustainably Built

Written on March 8, 2012 at 2:21 pm, by sam

Covered bridges have long been a symbol of New England and its rustic history. At one time more than 10,000 covered bridges stood throughout the United States but that number has since dropped to 750, 54 of which still stand in New Hampshire. The Squam River Bridge in Ashland is one such bridge that stands in the Lakes Region.Squam Lake

The origin of the Squam River Bridge is an interesting one. It started when the state of New Hampshire condemned the former steel and concrete bridge. Rather than building a two-lane steel structure as proposed by the state, Ashland”s citizens steered the project in a new direction. The town instead voted for a one-lane lattice-truss wooden bridge and raised the necessary funds to make the idea a reality. The Town of Ashland allocated $35,000 for the building of the new bridge. The remaining funds were raised by direct contributions and fundraising events through the Ashland Historical Society.

New Hampshire Covered BridgeThe Squam River Bridge was constructed in 1990 by Milton Graton and Sons. As a resident of Ashland and a self-taught expert on New England”s covered bridges, Milton Graton was the right man slots pokies for the job. Using a team of oxen for the build, Graton and his crew replicated the traditional construction methods for covered bridges. The Squam River Bridge was officially dedicated on July 1, 1990.

We at Squam River Landing and Riveredge Marina have a strong connection and appreciation for the landmark that our community worked so hard to create. Being locally funded and sustainably built, the Squam River Bridge is a perfect example of how a small community can come together and work independently to make great things happen.

MasterCraft X-14V Test Drive

Written on January 4, 2012 at 9:36 am, by sam

Riveredge Marina recently test-drove the MasterCraft X-14V featured in our showroom.  The X-14V is a crossover boat which means it works well for just about every water sport while also being a great cruiser.  We had heard good things about the X-14′s water skiing wake so we had to try it first-hand.  Check out the video and see what you think!

The MasterCraft X-14V features seating for eleven, a touchscreen display, ballast wake system and plenty of storage.  We all agreed that this is a fantastic crossover boat because it is roomy, comfortable, and has no shortage of features.  As it turns out, the wake for water skiing is phenomenal at shorter rope lengths.  The smooth throttle response and handling were also characteristics of the X-14V that we loved.

Riveredge Marina is a third-party dealer of MasterCraft and Regal boats through Silver Sands Marina on Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, New Hampshire.  Contact us anytime for questions or to schedule a test-drive!

Riveredge hosted the first round of the Sunday Squam Ski Series this past weekend despite poor weather conditions.  The well-rounded group was enthusiastic and eager to strap on the ski so they could give the slalom course their best shot.  There were lots of laughs and great wipe-outs but no one was injured:  only sore, aching bodies in the days following.  This Sunday we are hoping for good weather and a even more skiers to join us for this great Squam event.
