Ski/Wakeboard School

In 2007 we started the Squam Adaptive Waterski School, meeting every Thursday at 4:00. We plan to continue this program in the 2008 Summer Season and hope to grow the program through the help of many volunteers and the staff here at the Marina. We are working in cooperation with local ski areas' adaptive ski programs to give people with all types of disabilities a chance to get out on the water to ski or wakeboard. The Marina building serves as a home base for the Squam Ski club, with the goal of increasing organization and membership to encourage the trend of the last few years, with multiple ski tournaments each summer, and perhaps other events as well. The Squam Ski Club has been an informal part of the lake culture for many years; we aim to give it a home and to facilitate its future development.
