It has been a great summer around Squam and the Lakes Region for a number of reasons. This summer’s events have been better than ever thanks to the weather and the wonderful people involved! Thankfully, summer isn’t over yet nor are the events. Here are some local happenings sure to keep you busy as the summer begins to wind down.
The 4th annual Circle Triathlon is being held at Riveredge Marina on Sunday, September 4th. This family-oriented triathlon is a fundraiser in support of the Circle Program which works with socially and economically disadvantaged girls in New Hampshire. More info can be found on the Circle Triathlon website.
New England Disabled Sports is another great group to get involved with. They meets Wednesday afternoons throughout the summer at Riveredge Marina on Little Squam Lake. Volunteers, spectators and new adaptive participants are always welcome. For more info check out the N.E Disabled Sports webpage.
The Sunday Squam Ski Series is a new event that Riveredge Marina is trying to make happen. With Squam being the water-skiing hub that it is, we figured why not organize a casual event where passionate skiers can come together and have a good time. Whether you want to take a relaxing free ski or get all six buoys at 22′ off, the Squam Ski Series is the place to be on Sunday evenings. To find out more call Sam or Barry at Riveredge Marina at 603-968-4411.
